When we went to visit Drew this morning they had already removed her chest tubes! She looks so much better. They also took her off the paralyzing medication and by 3:00 PM she was completely awake. Drew was excited to see us after the week long nap she has taken… She was confused and started to cry at first but settled down and was very content as she looked back and forth between us. They may wean her of the ventilator as soon as tomorrow.

I am so glad that Drew is on a path to recovery from this surgery. I still have the girl's christmas picture on our fridge... You guys get a little prayer everytime I look at it. We'll be looking for the updates on Drew.

Steve & Brandy, I am so excited to hear the great reports. That is such a sweet pic of Brandy and Drew. It is also heartbreaking because of all the 'hospital art' but sweet cuz you can see Drew focusing on Mom! We will continue to pray for baby Drew. (I have a feeling she will be Baby Drew for a long time....the name has stuck!)

As much faith as you and Brandy have in God I see this beautiful baby growing stonger and more beautiful every day. When people say there is no God they need to take another look at this little miracle of life, I know I have and it has brought me closer to God then ever before. Keep the faith you two and your little family will grow and glow like no other.
